It was the best day ever for Leni Loud. A cute boy in her science class named Adam asked her out on a date! Leni secretly always wanted a boyfriend. She would fantasize about walking on the beach together, go shopping at the mall, and go on a double date with Lori and Bobby. The date went fine. They went to a local cafe and talked. Well, Leni did most of the talking...but Adam didn't seem that interested. Nevertheless, Leni felt so happy. When Adam dropped her off to her house, she insisted that he meet her family. Adam refused,
"Oh uh, I feel like it's too early for us to see each other's family, uh, babe."
"Gasp! Oh my gosh! You just called me babe! Does that, like, mean we're an official couple?" Leni asked.
"Uh...sure." Said Adam.
"Yay!" Leni squealed in delight. Adam drove off and Leni rushed in the house to tell Lori the big news.
"Wow! That is literally the best news ever! I'm so happy for you, sis." Lori said.
"I know! I just can't wait to go on more dates, shop together at the mall, call him, shop at the mall..." Leni cheered.

The next day, Adam picked Leni up to go to the mall.
"Yeah, sorry I didn't want to see your family uh, babe. I'm kinda she like that..." he apologized.
"Oh no worries! There'll be plenty of time to meet all of them." said Leni.
A few days gone by, and both Adam and Leni went on small dates. He was nice to her, but for some reason kept looking around as if he's trying to find someone. But Leni didn't notice. A few days gone by, and Leni didn't hear a word from Adam. Then one Sunday morning, she received a text. 'Hey bb. I miss u come c me at the park at noon :)'
Leni got excited and got ready immediately.
"Wait a minute!" Leni thought to herself. "Adam didn't talk to me for the last few days, and NOW he want to see me? HE MUST BE THROWING A SURPRISE PARTY FOR ME!!!" The hazy Leni got more anxious. "Wait! I should do something special for him! I'll back him a pie. Luan taught me how, so I got this."

It was noon at the park and Leni was carrying a disfigured plum pie. She saw Adam's cute face in the distance smiling...but someone else was with him. A girl. It was Rebecca Slater, another classmate of Leni's.
"Adam?"
Leni approached the scumbag.
"Leni? What are you doing here?" asked Adam.
"Silly! I got your text! You told me to meet you here. Am I early for the surprise party? Thanks for coming, Rebecca." Leni cheered.
"Oh hohoho!" Rebecca laughed. "Oh hun, you went through a whole week pretending to date this idiot?"
Leni's smile was wiped off.
"Pretend?" Leni questioned with woe.
"Look, Leni." Adam started to explain. "I only asked you out to make Rebecca jealous. We went out, but now we're back together. So...I don't need you anymore. I don't know why you got that text. that was intended for Rebecca."
"Bu..but you said you loved me." Leni claimed, tearing up.
"I must say, hun. It was a smart move to dupe the dumbest girl in school. But then again, it's not hard to trick Leni Loud," Rebecca sneered.
"Adam!" Leni sobbed. "I made you a pie! I worked hard on it. It's plum!"
Adam jumped back and stated,
"I'm allergic to plums! You tying to kill me!?"
"I-I-I didn't know..." Leni cried more tears. Rebecca knocked the pie off of Leni's hands, making it splatter all on her dress. Adam then demanded,
"Get away from us, you retard."
Adam and Rebecca walked away, while Leni slumped on a tree crying her heart out. She was used and abused. As her tear stained eyes stared at the broken pie she muttered,
"Worst surprise party ever..."

Leni returned home and was still devastated over what had happened to her. Lori was waiting outside on the doorstep.
"So? How'd it go?" Lori asked.
She then saw her little sister's state.
"How do you think?" Leni responded.
"He broke up with you?" Lori asked.
"No! He used me to make another girl of his jealous! And it hurt my feelings more than anything..." Leni said tear-driven.
"Wow! What a jerk! Nobody uses my sister like that! I ought to teach him a lesson! Maybe I'll turn him into a human pretzel!" said Lori.
"Don't bother. I'm done with boys for a long time," Leni sobbed. She ran upstairs to wash the pie crust and filling off.

When she was done, she just wanted to let it all out.
"Why can't I have someone special in my life? That's all I ask!" she sobbed.
Down the street, Julie Trenton, the most focused gaming chick of all time, was walking down the street playing on her 3DTS, which had three screens to play on.
"Oh, sweet! Level 5! Those mushrooms are dropping super bombs on my ship, though," she said.
She could hear the sound of Leni crying and noticed it.
"Whoa. What's up with her and the waterworks? Well, only one way to find out," she said. She saved her game and turned it off and put her 3DTS in her pocket.
"Hey. What's wrong?" she asked.
"Oh, why should I say anything? People think I'm an idiot," Leni sobbed.
"Just calm down and tell me everything when you're ready," said Julie.
Leni took a deep breath and let the last of her tears go off.
"I was having the best day of my life with some boy I liked, but he was only using me to make another girl jealous and hurt my feelings just because I offered him a pie with something he was allergic to," Leni explained.
"Ouch," said Julie.
"Yeah."
"Well, you can find someone better than him. I think you need a little time with a good spirit like me."
"You wanna be my friend?"
"Sure. The more, the merrier."
Leni took her hand and felt a bit better.

They went for a walk and looked on at the sky.
"That cloud looks like a duck," said Julie.
"And that one looks like my cat Cliff," said Leni.
"Doesn't this feel better?" Julie asked.
"Yeah. By the way, my name's Leni. Leni Loud."
"And I'm Julie. Julie Trenton."
"Nice to meet you," they said to each other.

They stopped by at the gaming shop where Julie went to get some new games.
"You wanna try out some of the new games they got here?" Julie asked.
"Those things will rot your brain. I played one, but it didn't work out," Leni answered.
"Okey dokey," said Julie. "More for me."
She tested out some of the game demos and purchased the ones she was most satisfied with.
"This is what I'm talking about," said Julie.
"You wanna get some ice cream? I love ice cream. Next to lunch, it's my favorite food," said Leni.
"Um...lunch isn't exactly...oh, what the heck," Julie agreed.
They stopped in the park and got some ice cream.
"Mini chocolate chip is my favorite," said Leni.
"I love me a good burgundy cherry," said Julie.
They licked up every single part of their scoops and got some on their faces.
"I always like to eat the cone instead of just tossing it," said Julie.
"It's crunchy, but good," said Leni.

Next, they decided to talk about their siblings.
"So, my stepsister Kendall and I love to hang out with our boyfriends Kick and Gunther. They're the nicest guys around. Kendall is so much happier with Kick than she ever was with that other dork," said Julie.
"I'm happy for her," said Leni.
"And Haley is such a ball of energy ready to burst with excitement and exhilaration. I can never get enough of the tyke," said Julie.
"Wow. You must be lucky," said Leni.
"What siblings do you have?" Julie asked.
"Let's see...I don't think I have a sibling. Just nine sisters and a brother," Leni responded.
"You have nine sisters and a brother? How is that even possible? I've never seen such a big family before!"
"Born lucky I guess."
"It must get a little loud in there."
"Well, we're not the Loud's without a reason."
"11 kids in a family. How does this girl survive?" Julie wondered to herself.

They also took some time over at the hobby store. Leni got herself some fabrics to work on some of her latest fashion designs and Julie picked herself up a new board game from Japan.
"If you want, sometime, I can probably make you a new outfit," said Leni.
"I'd love to see your skills in action," said Julie.
"Maybe when we go back to my place I can give it a shot."
"Sounds good to me."

Over at the salon, they decided to get themselves a nice treatment after everything Leni went through with Adam.
"Doesn't this feel good? These people know how to treat your nails and hair just right," said Leni.
"I don't usually get into this," said Julie, "but with these experts, I can make an exception."
They got massages and bathed in the mineral bath to look even more beautiful than they were before.
"Shiatsu is the best technique of massage ever," said Julie.
"You got that right," Leni agreed.

Next was a trip to the candy store.
"So, how many of these sugary delights do you want?" Julie asked.
"As many as we can get," said Leni.
They looked around at all the selections they had to offer.
"I'm gonna get me some rock candy and jawbreakers," said Julie.
"Ooh. I wouldn't want candy that sounds so hard it would break your teeth," said Leni.
Julie laughed and said,
"You're a riot, Leni."
"I'm not a riot. THIS IS A RIOT!!!" Leni responded with a smile on her face.
"Never underestimate this girl's heart to make up for her lack of brain," said Julie.

They eventually got back to the Loud House and were more than happy to do what Leni suggested and make Julie a new outfit.
"I'm gonna need you for a mannequin pose, Julie," said Leni.
"Sure thing," said Julie.
Leni got to work and sewed together something a little special for Julie. She was wearing a white t-shirt with the sun on it, some loose khakis and high-tops.
"Oh yeah. Fresh kicks you got me there. I'm likin' it," said Julie.
"Thanks. I do what I can," said Leni.
There was still some time.
"It's 2:30! We can go to the mall when the crowd really starts to pick up!" said Leni.
"Sounds good to me," said Julie.

Over at the mall, they did a little shopping and hanging out.
"Does these pants make my butt look big?" Leni asked.
"I'd be lying if I said no," said Julie.
"I'll take them!" Leni exclaimed. "Needed something to make it look big."
"That's a first," said Julie.
They hit the arcade where Leni took a shot at some video games and got a bit better as they went on.
"See, Leni? Video games aren't so bad. They teach you hand-eye coordination and keep you on your toes with good reflexes," said Julie.
"You're ready, Jule," said Leni.
They went over to the cheese kiosk and sampled some of the finest cheeses they had.
"Oh, such delicacies," said Leni.
"All the way from Europe," said Julie.
They even got some lunch over at the food court.
"I gotta say, Julie, today, you really made me so happy to meet a friend like you," Leni stated.
"I was happy to help you in your time of need," said Julie. "Oh, hold on."
Julie checked her 3DTS and saw the time.
"Look at the time! I gotta get him right now. I'll see you later," said Julie.
"Okay. Bye," said Leni.
They went off in their own directions.

Leni got home and had a smile on her face.
"You literally look a lot better than you did earlier," said Lori.
"I met a new friend. Her name's Julie and she showed me the time of my life. Did you know that there's such a thing as a sibling?" Leni asked.
"Uh...yeah..." Lori responded. "But still, great to see you're over that guy and even made a new friend."
The two sisters hugged it out there.
"I think tomorrow I'll hang out with her again. She said she had some sisters of her own."
"Sweet. We should all meet them," said Lori.
"I'll call her right now," said Leni.

Julie was back home and told her sisters about Leni.
"And Leni was very happy to call me a friend after all that," said Julie.
"That's cool," said Haley.
"Sounds like you have yourself a new buddy in case we're not available," said Kendall.
"Yeah. I sure do," said Julie.
Just then, her phone buzzed and she got a text from Leni to invite her to the Burpin' Burger tomorrow.
"Hey, girls, Leni wants to meet us at the Burpin' Burger tomorrow. You wanna go?" Julie asked.
"Sure," Haley and Kendall agreed.
"I'll respond now," said Julie.
She texted Leni back which made the dumb blonde so happy.
"Cheers!" said Leni.

The next day, all of the Loud kids met up with Julie and her sisters.
"Hey, girls," said Leni.
"Hey, everyone," said Julie.
"Julie, these are my sisters and brother: Lori, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, Lily, and Lincoln," Leni introduced.
"Nice to meet you all," said Julie.
"Hi," said the Loud Kids.
"And these are my sisters: Kendall and Haley," Julie introduced.
"Likewise," said Leni.
"Yo," said Haley.
"Hello," said Kendall.
"Now, come on! It's burger time!" said Julie.

They all made their huge order and got so many burgers and fries they didn't know where to start eating them all. Just then, Adam and Rebecca were outside. It seemed they were having a tiff and Rebecca slapped him one.
"Ouch..." said Adam.
"Adam?" Leni asked.
"Oh, hey, Len. It's your lucky day. Rebecca and I split up again because I didn't take her out to that new movie playing because I was spending some time with the guys in an alley. You wanna give it a shot for real?" Adam asked.
Leni looked at him and decided,
"You know what, Adam? How about some mustard to go with that salami!" she said as she squirted Adam with mustard.
"That's baloney," Lincoln corrected her.
"That, too," said Leni.
Everyone squirted him with condiments after everything he put Leni through.
"Oh, and I heard you were allergic to plum, so..." Luan said as she hit him in the face with a plum pie. This caused Adam's face to get covered in hives. He ran out screaming,
"THOSE KIDS ARE CRAZY!"
Everyone laughed at that. Leni and Julie fistbumped.
"Nice standing up there, Len!" said Julie.
"I learned a valuable lesson from that," said Leni.

As for Adam, he was still covered in condiments and hives.
"Can someone get me an ice pack? A napkin? A hug?" he asked.
Rebecca looked at him and laughed and said,
"Now that's what you get for bailing on your girl."
"Oh, shut up!" said Adam.
Rebecca had some plums in her purse, which made her ex-boyfriend run off in fear.
"That'll learn him," she said.

Leni and Julie were having some time together as any gal pals would do.
"So, you don't feel sad about what Adam put you through anymore?" Julie asked.
"Absolutely not. I know better than to let any guy like him get in my way. And I'll make sure that my sisters and brother and friends have my back," said Leni.
They all came to the two and nodded in agreement.
"You and me both, pal," said Julie.
"Friends forever!" said Leni.
"Here here!" Julie agreed.
They hugged it out and were so happy to be the best of friends from here on out.

And thus, Leni had gained a new friend in her time of need. Her lament was now lifted and she could go on being happy once again.

THE END
The final art trade and item in the shop is an art trade with :icontxtoonguy1037:, and he wanted a story where Leni Loud, after an experience from one of :iconjfmstudios:'s deviations hereUsed and Abused by JFMstudios, meets Jeremy's OC Julie Trenton and starts to open up to her and become friends.

NOTE: I used the story from the above deviation's description in order to set up this one, so I give credit to :iconjfmstudios: for that as well. I would not have been able to make the story proper without it.
