Today was Myles King's birthday, and along for the ride came his good friends Theresa, Sunset Shimmer, Jenny Brown, and me, Andrew Mantynen. We were all cruising down the road. Myles was sitting in back with me and Theresa while Sunset was driving. We put a blindfold on him so we wouldn't ruin the surprise.
"Hope you're ready for your big surprise, birthday boy!" said Jenny.
"What is it? Can you give me a hint?" Myles asked.
"Well...it's one of the biggest cities in all of California," I hinted.
"Is it San Francisco where the JUMP agents are?" Myles guessed.
"No, but it's a good guess," said Theresa.
Soon enough, we had arrived.
"Here we are! You can take off the blindfold now," said Sunset.
Myles took it off and saw where we were.
"No way," he said.
We were in the city of Los Angeles.
"We're in LA?!" he realized.
"That's right! And we're going to have the time of our lives here for your birthday!" said Theresa.
"Oh, this is going to be awesome!" said Myles.
"What are we waiting for? The sights are calling us!" said Sunset.

The first place we decided to visit was a theme park called Knott's Berry Farm. It was once a big berry farm that eventually converted itself into an amusement park. Don't ask how that works.
"This place brings me back to so many childhood visits here," I said.
"What's this park like?" Myles asked.
"Well, a lot of different things are here, like some old wild west settings and such, and even some attractions are themed after Charles Schultz' characters from the Peanuts franchise," I explained.
"Ooh! That sounds like fun!" said Myles.
"The Peanuts gang are mascots of this park?" Jenny asked.
"Pretty much," I answered.
"One of the most famed cartoonists' characters must feel honored," said Theresa.
"I bet they are," said Myles.

We spent a lot of time going on a lot of the rides you would expect. Some of them were insane roller coasters, others were spinning rides, others were aerial carousels, and there was even a rotating lift ride where you could just sit back and get a sky high view of the whole park.
"Aw...now this is a relaxing moment," said Theresa.
"I couldn't agree more," Sunset agreed.
Myles held onto her hand for comfort.
"Thanks," Sunset thanked.
"No prob," said Myles.
The view up there was spectacular. After we got off, we decided to get some lunch at a little place where they were playing Peanuts specials on their TV screen.
"Oh, that Snoopy. He'll never defeat the Red Baron like that," Jenny laughed.
"I just wish Lucy would stop doing that thing to Charlie Brown where she pulls the football away from him," said Sunset.
"I know, right?" I agreed.
We all had some good food and were ready to hit the town some more.
"Now, how about we go out and see the rest of the town?" I suggested.

Next up, we went to Muscle Beach. It was a really wide beach that was full of buff bodybuilders who were looking to work out in the sun. Lots of weights to lift. We were all in our swimsuits when we arrived there.
"You sure this is a good idea?" Jenny asked.
"What's the worst that could happen?" Myles asked.
"Hopefully, no one will taunt us for not being...well, up to their stature," I figured.
We started off small and tried working our way up. Of course, it would take a really long time to get to the point where those guys were. And we wanted to have a lot of time celebrating Myles' special day.
"I think that should about do it for weight lifting," said Jenny.
"Yeah. They weren't too heavy, but I'm already feeling rather fatigued," Theresa agreed.
So we decided to spend the rest of the time on the beach just laying back. Some guys were flirting with our gal pals.
"Hey...you like what you see?" one guy asked flexing his biceps.
"Impressive, but we're not really turned on by that kind of stuff," said Sunset.
"Sorry," Theresa apologized.
"Nuts," the guy sighed.
"Not everyone can attract with a big body, pal," I told him.

After our beach time came to an end, the next thing we did was visit the Little Tokyo area of LA.
"Konnichiwa, Little Tokyo!" I greeted.
"You can speak Japanese?" Theresa asked.
"Eh, not a whole lot," I answered.
"Still, this place looks really nice," said Sunset.
We looked around and saw so much Japanese culture around the town. We could see some traditional Kabuki plays being performed. And there were even some Sakura floating right on by, now in full bloom.
"Gorgeous scenery," said Jenny.
We took some photos of those were really happy to have come.
"Check out this nice museum of some of the old culture," said Theresa.
"Wow. Look at that nice Yojimbo armor. And is that really a painting of an emperor from a long time ago?" I wondered.
"It does look like it, doesn't it?" Jenny asked.
"It's really authentic," said Theresa.
"It's like we took a step back in time to those days," said Myles.

Other sights we had seen were some samurai and ninja performances. They were fighting with swords and ninja stars, and they were able to predict each other's next moves.
"Oh yeah! Now this is hot action!" said Myles.
"They are so skilled, so well taught, so energetic," said Sunset.
"I would love to see more of this," said Jenny.
"It's better to see this in real life than just play it in a game," I figured.
"That's true," Theresa agreed.
We picked up some Japanese culture souvenirs like Daruma dolls and fans and were on our way to our next destination.

The next destination was the famous Disneyland, often said to be the happiest place on Earth. There, all sorts of Disney franchises were there. Some past, some recent. Mickey Mouse and his friends were definite the most legendary out of Walt's legacy. The statue of him and the mouse that started his legacy was always the shining jewel of the whole park.
"Ah, Walt. Your creations to this day still hold up well," I commented.
"Some of your more recent works whether in film or on TV really have kept up with your times and you continue to live on in our hearts," said Theresa.
"Sure, not everything that was created by your company has been memorable, but you do try," said Sunset.
"That's for sure," said Myles.
"And I should know, I'm one of the characters from his company," Jenny added.

We went to all of the fun locations inside of the magical kingdom one of the most legendary cartoonists ever. We went to the castle that was the gateway to another part of the park. There we tried many a time to pull the sword from the stone until Theresa herself pulled it out.
"Theresa! You are now the Queen of England!" Myles cheered.
"I feel so...honored..." Theresa said while blushing.
"Long live the queen!" I cheered.
"Huzzah!" we all cheered.
We got to have a free banquet with the king himself after that.
"Oh, now this stuff, your highness? Your chefs are very well talented in making this," I said.
"I thank thee, kind modern traveler," said the king.
"Thank your, your majesty. We had a delicious meal," said Theresa.
"Must you be off, my queen?" the king asked.
"I'm afraid so," said Theresa.
"I shall miss thee verily so," said the king.
"I'll miss you, too," said Theresa.

We also headed over to Tomorrowland which was a very futuristic world that featured the many steps into the future. There were some things related to Star Wars ever since Disney bought up that franchise, and some of the other characters like Buzz Lightyear and those from Big Hero 6 also had their own attractions.
"I wonder why it hasn't become like this yet," I joked.
"Ah, it probably takes a lot of time," Myles figured.
"I wonder if it will really be like this someday," said Sunset.
"You never know," said Jenny.
We took a few more pictures and were on our way out of the park, but not before getting our hands stamped to come back later for something special.

The last place to go to on our list was the famous Hollywood district itself. The real movie-goer's paradise.
"Oh, the glamorous Hollywood itself," said Myles.
"The stars of yesteryear and our times all shine bright in this wonderful town," I commented.
"Some more than others," said Theresa.
"But overall..." Jenny figured.
"...it's still a great city and the people are still people," said Sunset.
We walked on the Hollywood walk of fame and saw so many different stars' names. Real or fictitious as a matter of fact.
"Look at all these stars," said Sunset.
"Humphrey Bogart, Christopher Walken, Don Knotts, Phyllis Diller, Betty White...I tell you, these are the people who make Hollywood," said Myles.
"Oh, ain't that the truth," I agreed.
"Look over there!" said Theresa.
We came up to the TCL Chinese Theater and were more than happy to see a place like that.
"Looks like some movie premieres are going on over there," said Jenny.
"Let's hope they're seeing a good one," said Myles.
"Yeah. Let's hope," Sunset agreed.

The Hollywood sign was far off in the distance and Myles got everyone together in the camera to make it look like we were all holding it up.
"Perfect! Now, hold it. Hold it!" he said.
We got a good shot of it and we had a really funny and amusing photo.
"We're lifting it all up together!" said Jenny.
"We're super powerful now!" I joked.
"Oh, what a joyous jest," said Theresa.
We then arrived at the Hollywood Bowl where a musical concert was scheduled to play tonight. Myles was thinking of giving something a try. He walked up to the piano and played a few keys.
"Myles, are you sure you should be doing that?" Sunset asked.
"Why not? I figured for my birthday, I could play a song for you all," said Myles. "Right here on the Hollywood Bowl."
"Sounds fun to me," said Jenny.
"Play it!" I cheered.
Myles started playing and singing Don't Stop Me Now by Queen.

Myles: Tonight I'm gonna have myself a real good time
I feel alive and the world it's turning inside out Yeah!
I'm floating around in ecstasy
So don't stop me now don't stop me
'Cause I'm having a good time having a good time

I'm a shooting star leaping through the skies
Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity
I'm a racing car passing by like Lady Godiva
I'm gonna go go go
There's no stopping me

I'm burning through the sky yeah!
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you

Don't stop me now
I'm having such a good time
I'm having a ball
Don't stop me now
If you wanna have a good time
Just give me a call

Don't stop me now ('cause I'm having a good time)
Don't stop me now (yes I'm having a good time)
I don't want to stop at all... yeah!

I'm a rocket ship on my way to Mars
On a collision course
I am a satellite I'm out of control
I am a sex machine ready to reload
Like an atom bomb about to
Oh oh oh oh oh explode

I'm burning through the sky Yeah!
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic woman of you

Don't stop me
Don't stop me
Don't stop me
Hey hey hey!

Don't stop me
Don't stop me
Ooh ooh ooh (I like it)

Don't stop me
Don't stop me
Have a good time, good time

Don't stop me
Don't stop me

Ooh ooh alright

Ooh I'm burning through the sky yeah!
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you

Don't stop me now
I'm having such a good time
I'm having a ball
Don't stop me now
If you wanna have a good time
Just give me a call

Don't stop me now ('cause I'm having a good time)
Don't stop me now (yes I'm having a good time)
I don't wanna stop at all

La la la la laaaa
La la la la
La la laa laa laa laaa
La la laa la la la la la laaa hey!!....

We all applauded his performance.
"Nice job there, man!" I cheered.
"Thanks! Now I should probably get off the stage before someone sees me," said Myles.
And that's just what he did. The concert was a little while away, so we decided to take a little time to enjoy the show. The symphonic tones of the players were real music to our ears.
"Oh, now that's a beautiful tone," said Theresa.
"Like Myles, they have panache in playing," said Sunset.
"Ah, thanks," said Myles.
"What time is it?" Jenny asked.
I looked at the clock on my 3DS and noticed the time.
"Oh! We gotta get back to Disneyland!" I figured.
"Why?" Myles asked.
"Big surprise," said Theresa.

We got back there just in time for something for Myles.
"What did you want to bring me back for?" he asked.
"This," said Sunset.
The sky lit up wit ha bunch of fireworks shooting off and dazzling the pitch black skies. There were so many of them. And it had some of the faces of other Disney characters, like Mickey, Phineas and Ferb, Dipper and Mabel, Donald, Goofy, and a lot of other characters.
"I love it. This is truly a happy birthday to me!" said Myles.
Jenny and Sunset both gave him a nice little peck on the cheek.
"Happy birthday, Myles!" they cheered.
"We were so happy to celebrate with you!" said Theresa.
"Yeah! You rock, M!" I told him.
"Thanks, guys. I will remember this birthday for the rest of my life," he said.
We watched on with the rest of the fireworks.

And so, that wrapped up the big LA birthday adventure. We got to see all sorts of famous sights and visit some amusement parks and even see a little fireworks show. This was a time in LA that Myles was going to keep in his memories for a truly happy birthday.
