Recap

Max: Last time on Movie Mayhem, down to only four players left, they partook in the genre of the fantasy adventure flick. And as a bonus, their trailers were merged into one so they could all keep each other more company. They learned about different battle formations like an RPG, fought a dragon played by Charizard, and unlocked a treasure chest containing a prize. Isaac ended up the champion, but found out the hard way that no one was going to be going anywhere today. His prize was a lot of the treasures given out by the fairy queen and a dip in their mystic spring for a relaxing good time.

End Recap

Max: So, with our roster still down to four players, there's just no telling which one of them is going to be going home with nothing at all. But rest assured, you will see the results of our Final 3 today! On Movie Mayhem! (picks up cell phone and dials a number) Hey...gonna need ya.

Intro

Episode 38: Mario Party Animals

Still only down to four teams left, the players were all just trying to take some time to relax. Isaac had finished up his soak in the fairy spring.
"So...how did it go?" Rosalina asked.
"Just fine. A good little soak is what I needed," said Isaac.
"Now we just need to think of a way to get rid of Mewtwo," said Rosalina.
"I know. That guy has been way too lucky as of late," said Kirby.

Confessional

Kirby

Kirby: I mean, really. How is it that Mewtwo has managed to get through so many challenges without having to succumb to being voted off? If he keeps this up, we just might not stand a chance!

Isaac

Isaac: Okay. If I'm gonna win this, I'm gonna have to bring my A-Game on it. Mewtwo has got to go down today!

End confessional

Mewtwo was continuing to watching Rosalina and Isaac. Either one of them needed to go next in his eyes.
"One of you...who should I choose?" he wondered.

On the way over to lunch, they were stepping on something that was lighting up.
"Hey...have the streets been lighting up on their own lately?" Rosalina asked.
"I noticed that, too," Kirby answered.
They got their lunch and were ready to sit down. Mewtwo was sitting by himself. He just looked on at his opponents and they just tried to ignore him.
"I just can't stand him staring at me like that," said Kirby.
"Worry not, Kirby. Today, I just know that Genetic Pokemon will be defeated soon enough," said Rosalina.
"And if we lose to him AGAIN?" Isaac wondered.
"Well...we just can't think negatively right now," said Rosalina.

Confessional

Rosalina

Rosalina: Negative thinking is the top 5 key elements to our downfall. The other four our a sour mood, lack of effort, poor skills, and botching by accident.

End confessional

Just then, a pair of giant dice came up and the numbers 1 and 6 came up.
"Dice Blocks?" Rosalina asked.
In entered Mario, the exact mascot of Nintendo.
"Wahoo! How's it going, everyone!" Mario greeted them.
"Mario?" Rosalina asked.
"What are you doing here?" Kirby asked.
"Hey...weren't you that doctor from before?" Isaac asked a little suspicious.
"Uh...nope! That was someone else!" said Mario.
"Are you sure?" Isaac wondered.
"He says it was, so I believe him. Right now, it's time for a special challenge dedicated to the Mario Party franchise! The Mario Party Movie!" said Max.
"You got that from me thinking there was gonna be a big party like a get together and festivities in the last episode, didn't you?" Kirby guessed.
"Maybe," Max answered. "Anyway, you're all familiar with Mario Party, right, mates and sheila?"
Rosalina raised her hand while the other three were just not really all that familiar.
"It's a game where you can try your luck and walk around on a giant board moving at certain spaces at a time," said Mario.
"Why not just play a board game?" Mewtwo asked.
"That's no fun," said Mario.
"He's got you there," said Kirby.
Mewtwo just facepalmed.
"And in that tradition, we have something special in mind," said Max.
"Come on outside, jokers," said Galleom.

They all came outside and saw that the lot has now been turned into a giant board like that of a Mario Party board.
"Wow! You made it look like a real board game!" said Rosalina.
"You are easily impressed," Mewtwo scoffed.
"How did you do it without us looking?" Isaac asked.
"Oh, we have our ways," said Galleom.
"The magic of the unexplained," said Max. "Tell them how it works, Mario!"
"Certainly," Mario agreed. "You will each roll a number on your Dice Block. The number it lands on is the number of spaces you move. Blue spaces are worth 3 coins, red spaces take away 3 coins, green spaces cause all sorts of strange things to happen, the candy shops let you buy special candies, and there are also candies laid out on the board. And the Lucky Space. You will get a special treat if you land on that. There is also the Aqua space and the Galleom space. You'll want the former, but not the latter. Aqua will help you while Galleom will try to do something to you that you'll regret if you fail. You can get a star from Max with 20 coins. The player with the most stars and coins at the end of the game wins. Each turn ends with the players playing a minigame where the winner will get 10 coins after it's over."
"Sounds easy enough," said Isaac.
"Wait...you lost me after 'certainly'," said Kirby.
Mewtwo chuckled at that.
"And one more thing. Today's elimination will be determined by who got the least amount of stars and coins. In other words, the last place player will be eliminated," Mario told them.
The players all gasped at such a thought.
"Okay, let's roll the dice to see who goes first!" said Max.
Rosalina: 8
Isaac: 6
Mewtwo: 4
Kirby: 3
"Rosalina is first, Isaac is second, Mewtwo is third, and Kirby is last," Mario announced. They all seemed to be happy about that...somehow.
"Okay, here are 10 coins for each of you," said Mario.
They all got their coins.
"Now, come see me at the studio's main gate to get a star from me. I'll be waiting," said Max.
"We're ready!" said Isaac.
"Let's go!" said Kirby.
The players took their position.

Confessional

Rosalina

Rosalina: Time for my years of experience to pay off.

Kirby

Kirby: I don't think I was able to follow the rules well.

End confessional

Rosalina rolled first and rolled a 10. She got a Thrice Candy and landed on a Green Space in front of a spotlight.
"Okay, everyone! Lights on! We want you to start dancing to the moves on the screen!" said the Gearmo holding the light.
The lights showed up and Rosalina danced the same way the screen showed it.
"That's perfect! You get 15 coins!" said the Gearmo.
"Yeah!" Rosalia cheered.

Confessional

Rosalina

Rosalina: And just like that, I'm already off to a great start.

End confessional

Isaac was next. He rolled a 7 and landed on a red space.
"Ow!" said Isaac.
He lost three coins. Mewtwo moved next. He rolled a 5 and got on a blue space. Next cake Kirby who rolled a 9, got a Bowlo Candy, and landed on a blue space for three coins.
"And the turn is over! Here is the first minigame!" said Max.
Egg Emergency
"Egg Emergency! The players must catch the most of 100 falling eggs. The one with the most wins," said Max.
The players held out baskets and were trying to catch them as they fell.
"Oh, and watch out for the Voltorb that fall. They can make you lose eggs," said Max.
"Now you tell us?" Isaac questioned.
They were being absolutely careful and absolutely swift. Some got some eggs and others got a Voltorb or two. These were the totals in the end.
Rosalina: 97
Isaac: 94
Mewtwo: 88
Kirby: 97
"Rosalina and Kirby win!" said Max.
"Alright!" Kirby cheered.
"Wait. There can be multiple winners?" Mewtwo questioned.
"That's correct," Max answered.
Mewtwo could not believe it.

Confessional

Mewtwo

Mewtwo: As much as I hate to be a part of them, I'll have to work with them somehow to get the coins if I'm gonna get far in this challenge.

End confessional

The next turn, Rosalina used her Thrice Candy and rolled up a 26 total. She then ran all the way around the board. She stopped at a candy shop.
"Welcome to Gearmo Goodies! Would you like some candy today?" Gearmo asked.
Rosalina picked out the Duelo Candy worth 15 coins. She still had enough for a star.
"Have a good day," said the Gearmo.
The spaces were long and she picked up a Vampire Candy along the way. Soon, she landed on the Aqua space where Aqua the Manaphy was happy to help her out. She took him to the star space where Max was waiting.
"Crikey! I didn't expect you to get here so fast! So, you would like a star from me. Is that right?" Max asked.
"Yes, please," said Rosalina.
She had used up all her coins, but she had the first star of the game.
"Yes! I got a star!" she cheered.

Confessional

Rosalina

Rosalina: Say your prayers, Mewtwo!

End confessional

"And so, Rosalina got the first star of the game! Will it be enough to keep her in it?" Mario asked.
"Find out when we return! To Movie Mayhem!" Max responded.

Commercials; continue

Isaac was next.
"Come on. Gimme something good," said Isaac.
He rolled a 10 and landed on a happening space in front of a camera.
"Hey, you! Think you can film this?" a Gearmo asked.
Isaac came up to the camera.
"What do I have to do?" Isaac wondered.
"Just hold out the camera and film what you see. Then I'll ask you a question," said the Gearmo. "ACTION!"
Through the camera, three Octolings, ten Riolu, five Goombas, seven Kritters, and one Towtow came rushing down.
"Now then...how many Towtows did you see?" the Gearmo asked.
"Just one," said Isaac.
"Correct. You get some candy!" said the Gaermo.
Isaac got some Springo Candy and Twice Candy.

Confessional

Isaac

Isaac: I don't know if they'll caused cavities, but they'll be a big help.

End confessional

Mewtwo rolled a 9 and picked up a Bowlo Candy and landed on the space right in front of Kirby. A red space. That took away three of his coins. Kirby saw Mewtwo was right next to him and had a smile on his face.

Confessional

Kirby

Kirby: You just know I'm gonna enjoy the inevitability that's about to happen.

End confessional

Kirby rolled a 5 and rolled Mewtwo over and took his 10 coins.
"That was awesome!" said Kirby.
Then he saw that he landed on the Lucky Space. Mario came by.
"Kirby! What are you waiting for? You gotta get into your limo! You're on your way to the Star Road!" said Mario.
He brought Kirby to a limo that took him to a section with five blue spaces, each with three coins on them, and a star at the end.
"I'm in heaven!" said Kirby.

It was time for the next Minigame. And that was the 100 Yard Hop.
"In this game, you will have to hop down the pathway while avoiding puddles that are so deep, you'll sink right in and frogs that can trip you up if you land on them," Mario explained.
The players were out on the course.
"The first team to get to the goal wins," Mario added.
The players got together.
"Hey, how did we even get back together? How do we even know where we landed on the space?" Isaac wondered.
"That's a question even I don't know the answer to," said Rosalina.
"Weird," said Mewtwo.
Galleom waved the flag and the players started hopping.
"Wow, Kirby! You're a natural!" said Isaac.
"I've been playing this game for 15 years!" said Kirby.
They were all hopping well over the puddles and past the frogs, but in the end, Mewtwo took the first place position while the others landed right into puddles.
"Victory...is my destiny," said Mewtwo.
"That's Meta Knight's line, you jerk!" said Rosalina.
"You're just jealous," said Mewtwo.

On the third turn, Rosalina had been sent back to start after she had gotten her star. She hit the dice block and rolled a 1.
"A 1. Not bad. I'll be fine for now," said Rosalina.
Then came Isaac's turn. He used his Twice Candy and rolled two 7's.
"Wow! Two 7's! That's very lucky! You get yourself 30 coins!" said Mario.
"Awesome!" Isaac exclaimed as he got his reward.
He then moved all the way to the Galleom Space. Galleom appeared and was ready to rumble.
"Okay, Isaac, if you think you can save yourself, then prove it to me! See if you can defuse this Subspace Bomb before it goes off! If you can't, you'll be going back to start," said Galleom.
"Bring it on!" said Isaac.
He then got the combination on screen he had to press and only 10 seconds to do it. He hit it in the right order and the bomb was shut down.
"Well, that was a bummer. Okay...you're good to go," said Galleom.
He then took off and was looking forward to doing it next time.
"That was a close one," said Isaac.
Mewtwo's turn came and he rolled a 6 and got a Thrice Candy along the way and landed on a blue space.
"Well, nothing special just yet," he said.
Kirby was back at the Star Road and moved across the spaces and saw something at the end!
"Here's a star for a real star like you!" said Mario.
Kirby got the star.
"Hooray!" Kirby cheered.
He got into the limo and headed back to the set for more action.
"I'm back!" he told everyone. He finished his turn by landing on a green space that was in front of a bus.
"Hey, you! You need a lift! I'll get you 15 spaces closes for 15 coins!" the driver offered.
"Okay," said Kirby.
He paid up and hopped on the bus.
"Let's get rolling! The wheels on the bus go round and round!" said the driver.
He drove down the board and got Kirby 15 spaces closer to Max.
"I'm almost there to another star," said Kirby.
Then came the next minigame: Cause for Alerm.
"In this minigame, the players have to press down on an alarm clock the second it rings and turn it off. The first player to do so wins. But be careful, it'll fake you out. If you press it then, you'll lose time," Mario explained.
The clock was set and the players were waiting. It was ticking by, then it started to move a little and Mewtwo went for it. But it didn't work. Just then, it rang and Isaac was the first to turn it off.
"Winner! Isaac!" said Mario.
"Yeah!" said Isaac.

On the next turn, Rosalina rolled a 3 and landed on a red space. Isaac used his Springo Candy to get to where Kirby is and landed next to him and rolled an 8 and got the next star. Then he landed on the same space as Rosalina. Mewtwo then used his Thrice Candy and got...three 7's...
"Three 7's! That's almost never been done before! Your reward is 100 coins!" Mario announced.
Mewtwo was overwhelmed and impressed with his luck.

Confessional

Mewtwo

Mewtwo: It looks like my luck is turning around.

End confessional

He then got to another star and jettisoned into the lead and landed in front of the other three players.
"Did you miss me?" he asked them.
"Not really," said Rosalina.
"You just got lucky," said Isaac.
Kirby rolled a 5 and got a star as well. Then he landed next to Rosalina and Isaac.
"Wow. This is tougher than we thought," said Kirby.
The next game in mind was Target Blast.
"You should be familiar with this one," said Mario.
"I'm not," Isaac rebutted.
"Okay. You damage a bomb as much as you can before the fuse goes off. If you can blow up as much of your target area as possible and wreck up the place, you'll get as many points as you can get," said Mario.
"That doesn't sound like fun at all," said Isaac.
They all hit their bombs and blew away the scaffolding in their vicinity. The scores were as followed.
Rosalina: 500,000
Isaac: 400,250
Mewtwo: 333,000
Kirby: 410,000
"Rosalina wins!" said Mario.
"Yeah!" said Rosalina.

Then came the next turn. Rosalina used her Duelo Candy and used it to get in a duel with Mewtwo.
"Surely, you must jest. I will easily defeat you in what will come our way," said Mewtwo.
The minigame that came to mind was called Getting Served. There were 20 hungry Miis getting ready to eat.
"20 Miis want to eat and you need to give them the right thing to eat. If you get it wrong, they'll get mad and walk away. The most out of 20 wins," Mario explained.
The Miis came rushing in and Rosalina and Mewtwo were starting to serve up their meals. They had to serve up spaghetti, pizza, rice balls, burgers, tacos, hot dogs, specials, and anything else they would want. They were doing great until they botched a couple. In the end, Rosalina won 18 to 17.
"Rosalina wins by a single point!" said Mario.
"No..." Mewtwo groaned.
"Yes..." Rosalina cheered softly.
"Okay, Rosalina. Throw the dart and determine your prize," said Mario.
Rosalina tossed it and it landed on a star.
"MY STAR!' Mewtwo cried.
"And it looks like Rosalina takes Mewtwo's star and makes it into the lead," said Mario.
"I can't believe it..." Mewtwo lamented.
"I can," said Rosalina.

Confessional

Kirby

Kirby: You know, I think today might be the day! Mewtwo is finally gonna be gone!

End confessional

And so, the game went on and on and on with so many stars and coins and candies flying everywhere and tons of minigames being played. Soon enough, the final five turns came about.
"Right now, from the looks of it, it seems the place player is Mewtwo. So he will get to choose what happens," said Max.
Mewtwo spun the wheel and it landed on all the blue and red spaces doubling their values.
"Double the values of the spaces. Very well. And now, if two players land on the same space, they will have a duel together. That is all for now," said Max.
The chase resumed up until the end with the coins being gathered and being lost here and there and the duels being so intense. But it wrapped up on the final turn.
"The game is over! You are all done gathering up your things!" said Mario.

Confessional

Isaac

Isaac: I think Mewtwo and I might be...

End confessional

The award ceremony was about to begin.
"Okay, before we announce the winner, we have three Award Stars to give out," said Max.
"And today, we have the Red Star, the Candy Star, and the Green Star," said Mario.
"First up, the Red Star. The player who landed on the most red spaces. And that was...Mewtwo!" said Max.
"Ha ha!" said Mewtwo.
"Next up, the Candy Star. It goes to the player who ate the most candy. And that is...Kirby!" said Mario.
"Hi!" Kirby cheered.
"And finally, the Green Star. It goes to the player who landed on the most Green Stars. And today, there is not one, but two of them. And they go to Rosalina and Isaac!" said Max.
The two of them were happy.
"And so...the winner of the challenge is...Kirby! With six stars and 174 coins!" said Max. Kirby did a little victory dance for his victory.
"Wait a minute! Isaac and Mewtwo are tied for not last place!" said Galleom.
"Hm...you're right. Well then, for this one, they will have to roll a Dice Block. The highest number stays, and the lowest number gets eliminated," said Max.
"I think that's a fair deal," said Isaac.
"I believe so as well," said Mewtwo.
"And you two, no Psy stuff," said Max.
"We promise," they promised.
"Isaac, you're up first," said Max.
Isaac rolled the Dice Block and it landed on a 9.
"A 9! Beat that!" said Isaac.

Confessional

Isaac

Isaac: There is no way he can beat that. He'd have to have a miracle on his hands.

End confessional

Mewtwo rolled the Dice Block. He had a feeling this was it.
"And it's a..." Max started to announce.
"It's a..." Mario started.
The Dice Block landed, and Mewtwo's look of discontent changed to that of absolute victory.
"...10!" Max and Mario announced.
"NO! It can't be! He beat me by 1!?" Isaac announced.
Rosalina and Kirby couldn't believe it themselves.
"I already told you, I am unstoppable," said Mewtwo.
Isaac was brought to the stage.
"Okay, Isaac! It's time now! The Trap Door of Failure is opening up to you!" said Max.
"I knew you were gonna say that," said Isaac.
"Better luck next time, Isaac," said Mario.
Max opened up the trap door and Isaac fell right in.
"And then...there were three," said Mario.
"Well, well...it looks as though we have made it to the final 3..." Mewtwo told his opponents.

Confessional

Kirby

Kirby: It's hopeless...Mewtwo was about to go home, Isaac had him on the ropes, but fate just chose to keep the evil one alive. I don't know if I can do this anymore.

Rosalina

Rosalina: Is it...really our destiny to lose to Mewtwo? Is he really gonna end up the champion? If he wins the semifinals...it might be all over.

Mewtwo

Mewtwo: Isaac was one of the bigger threats of the Elite Four. And now he's gone. Only left is those two. And Rosalina...you're next.

End confessional

Rosalina and Kirby were starting to feel a little scared.
"Rosalina...I'm scared," said Kirby.
"Me too, Kirby...me too," said Rosalina.
Mewtwo was looking on at the two and started to seem like he was sobbing a little bit, but his sorrow suddenly turned into satisfied laughter. He was in the final three, determined to let nothing get in his way anymore.
"And there you have it! Our final three are Kirby, Mewtwo, and Rosalina! And only two of them will be going head to head in the end! Which one of them will be denied the final shot at the big billion? Find out for yourself next time on the epic semifinals! Of Movie Mayhem!" Max announced.
Galleom and the Gearmos were gambling with the Dice Blocks.
"Hey! No gambling! This is a Nintendo based production!" Max told them.
"Always gotta ruin all the fun," Galleom groaned as he and the Gearmos' fun was spoiled.
