Super Tales Opening

Turning Up The Heat

And so, the peace to Nimbus Land had finally come. The castle was free of Valentina's wrath, Mallow found his real home, and the heroes now knew where to look for the next Star Piece. It was going to be a difficult task to make through a volcano with a dreaded dragon waiting for them, but this adventure wasn't exactly a cakewalk.
"Okay, now we know where to go next," said Mario.
"But how are we gonna get into the volcano?" Luigi wondered.
Just then, the Beezo that worked for Valentina was busy taking a nice relaxing flight when Daisy spotted him.
"Hey, you! You're that same guy who walked for that Valentine or whatever!" said Daisy.
She ran up to him and the Beezo was in a panic. He held out a sack of fertilizer.
"Here! Please! Don't hurt me and I'll give you this fertilizer! It's magic! Just please leave me alone!" he begged.
He gave Daisy the fertilizer and flew off to find his own calling.
"Poor little guy. Almost makes you feel sorry for him," said Mallow.
"Well, this is a weird bribe," said Daisy.
"Okay, this journey into the volcano is gonna be pretty difficult to handle," said Mario.
Just then, Bowser got a message from Boom Boom and Pom Pom.
"Hmm...Boom Boom and Pom Pom have just informed me that they have finished their training with that karate guy in Monstro Town," said Bowser.
"I think you should go head there and congratulate them," said Luigi.
"I think I will. See ya later, Super Stupid Bros," said Bowser.
He went off back to Monstro Town to go and see them. Daisy was holding onto the Seed and Fertilizer.
"You know, I think I might know a guy who could use these," she thought.
"And I should go tell Grandpa about my most recent discovery," said Mallow.

And so, they headed back to Tadpole Pond and told Frogfucius everything.
"Grandpa! I found my real home and my real parents!" Mallow told him.
"You did?" Frogfucius asked amazed.
"Uh-huh! I'm the prince of the people of Nimbus Land, the kingdom of the sky!" Mallow announced.
"That's wonderful news, my boy! I may not be your grandpa, but I can still be proud to call you my child," said Frogfucius.
He was so happy that the fluff he grew up with for so many years had finally managed to do what he could after all these years.
"Okay, time to go," said Roy.
Just as they were leaving the pond, a composer was getting all in a huff.
"Ach! This is just terrible! I'll never get this composition right!" he complained.
"Composition?" Ludwig wondered.
He went over to see what was up.
"Hey, buddy. What do you need help with?" Ludwig asked.
"Greetings. I am the world famous composer Toadofsky, and I am having a bit of writer's block right now," said the composer.
"Uh, Ludwig, is now really the time for you to mingle with a fellow music lover?" Larry asked.
"Fellow music lover? That is just what I want to hear!" said Toadofsky.
"Hey, if it's music you're looking for, I'll be happy to write you a little something something," said Ludwig.
"Excellent! Come with me!" said Toadofsky.
"We're gonna be here a while," Iggy thought.
"Well, I'm going with Mario and Luigi for once to get a little action in. The sooner we get those Star Pieces, the sooner we can get our castle back," said Bowser Jr.
"Looks like we're gonna be short a few members," Luigi thought.
"But look on the bright side. Jr.'s actually coming with us," said Mario.
"I'll take it over composing music any day," said Jr.

Daisy went to Rose Town and heard about a gardener that was busy in search of a legendary seed and some magical fertilizer.
"This must be the place," she said.
She came to his house.
"I'm busy tending to my plants right now. Come back later," said the gardener.
"Actually, sir, I have a gift for you. Two of them, to be precise," Daisy offered.
"What so?" the gardener asked as he turned around. To his surprise, he saw what they were.
"Oh my gosh! Do you know what that is? WHY-THAT-IS-THE-LEGENDARY-SEED-OF-MANY-GARDENS!-THAT-LITTLE-TRINKET-CAN-GROW-JUST-ABOUT-ANYTHING-YOUR-HEART-DESIRES!-*GASP*-AND-IS-THAT-THE-MYSTICAL-FERTILIZER-OF-THE-BEEZO-CLAN?!-I-HEARD-ABOUT-IT-BUT-DIDN'T-KNOW-IT-WOULD-EXIST!" he exclaimed at very high speeds.
"Slow down, man! Here! You can have them! I don't need them!" said Daisy.
"YES!" the gardener cheered. He planted them right away. "That should about do it."
But nothing seemed to happen.
"Well, that's a fine how do you do," said Daisy.
Just then, a sprout came out and out came a giant beanstalk, much like the one from Bean Valley.
"My word! I-HAVE-JUST-CREATED-AN-AGRICULTURAL-PHENOMENON!-THIS-COLOSSAL-STALK-IS-JUST-WHAT-I-NEED-TO-PROVE-TO-ALL-GARDENERS-THAT-I-AM-TRULY-THE-GREENEST-OF-THE-THUMBS!-AND-I-JUST-MAY-GET-ON-THE-COVER-OF-HAPPY-GARDENERS-MONTHLY-MAGAZINE!" he cheered frantically. "Do you think it needs more fertilizer?"
Daisy just keeled over from astonishment.
"I'll take that as a 'no'," said the gardener. He was so excited about his new discover.

As for Boom Boom and Pom Pom, they were now full-fledged ninjas.
"Well done, students. You have done your sensei proud," said Jinx.
"Thank you, Jinx Sensei," said Boom Boom.
"We hope you take these lessons well and bring peace to the world," said Jagger.
"Well, no promises on that last part," said Pom Pom.
"So, you finally finished your training, huh?" Bowser asked.
"Ready to go, Master Bowser," said Boom Boom.
"Take us with you," said Pom Pom.
"Goodbye, and good luck to you two!" said Jinx.
With that, the two had left the dojo for good.
"I'm gonna miss them," said Jinx.
"I'm not. I had nowhere to sleep!" said Jagger.

The heroes arrived at the gates to the hot spring.
"Prince Mallow! It is good to see you having finally found your true place in our kingdom!" said one of the guards.
"You have all done well to keep the kingdom in check," said Mallow.
"The hot springs are just up ahead. Be careful not to fall into the volcano," said the guard.
"But the Volcano is kinda important right now," said Luigi.
The gang decided to take a nice little dip in the hot springs before heading into the volcano. One side for guys, and one side for girls. Like the hot springs in Japan. After soaking up some nice minerals, they were ready to head for it into the volcano. It was pretty high for them to dive into it.
"Okay, this is gonna be a tricky one," said Mario.
"But it's our only bet," said Geno.
"GERONIMO!" Luigi shouted as he was the first to plunge.
"Luigi plunged first?" Peach asked.
"He seems to have grown some courage," said Rosalina.
They all followed close behind Mario's brother down into the very crater that was the Barrel Volcano.

Inside, the temperature was really high and everyone was starting to sweat a lot.
"It's so hot in here! Look! My hair is covering both of my eyes!" Rosalina panted showing just that.
"Now that's hot!" said Mallow.
Thankfully, he got a few rain clouds to shower them down and cool them off.
"Oh, that feels so much better," said Luigi.
"No time to relax now. The Star Piece has got to be around here somewhere," said Mario.
"It could be anywhere in this oven!" Bowser Jr.figured.
"Then we should be getting a move on. Who knows if any of Smithy's minions are lurking about?" Geno figured.
"The thought of that gives me goosebumps even in a hot place like this," said Peach.

The volcano was home to many Podoboos and Dry Bones and other volcanic beings that could possibly lurk there. Some of them were made of pure igneous rock and others were formed from the hardened cooled magma forming new bodies. There were even strange looking miniature volcano creatures.
"These guys sure don't look friendly," said Mallow.
"This is nothing compared to all the hot galaxies I went to," said Mario.
"Just be careful. One wrong step and you could end up feeling the heat," said Geno.
Just then, Luigi made a bit of a misstep and nearly fell right on into there. Mario pulled him up before he could plunge into the too-hot-to-touch liquid.
"Oh, you're telling me there. We'll be cooked to a golden brown if we stay here too long or slip right in there," said Luigi.
"Yeah. I don't think I'd be in the mood for grilled plumber anytime soon," said Jr.
Rosalina was having trouble seeing where she was going with her hair covering both of her eyes from the heat.
"Guys? Where are you? I can't see a thing," she said.
She then felt something.
"Oh, there you are, Luigi. I didn't know you were working out. You feel so...hard and burly..." said Rosalina.
"Uh...that's not me, Rosie! That's not me!" Luigi corrected.
It was really a Corkpedite.
"Get away from that thing!" said Mallow.
Mario and Luigi put on some Penguin Suits and froze the Corkpedite in its tracks.
"Something tells me these suits are going to come in handy," said Luigi.

They froze up a lot of the volcano's magma and started belly sliding on it to speed up the process.
"The Kaiser Dragon won't know what hit him when he sees this," said Luigi.
"It's time that overgrown fire lizard chilled out!" said Mario.
"And then the sixth Star Piece will be ours," said Peach.
"And the Star Road will be a step closer to completion," said Geno.
"Now, where's this Hinopio that the King and Queen told us about?" Peach questioned.
"We'll just keep right on looking," said Mario.
Just then, a Stumpet erupted out of nowhere and shot a bunch of fireballs from its crater.
"GET DOWN!" Mario asked.
"Get where?" Rosalina asked still having trouble seeing.
Peach pulled her down and a few of them had hit Mallow's pants and Luigi's overalls.
"YEOW! OW OW OW OW OW!" they cheered.
Mario threw some snowballs at the fires and cooled them off.
"That's a relief," said Mallow.
"Feeling better already," said Luigi.
"This is more hectic than I thought," Mario commented.

The volcano was definitely not much to describe, but it still managed to prove a massive threat with its hot climate and flaming creatures. Thankfully, Mallow cooled off most of them with a Snowy attack.
"Where would we be without Mallow?" Peach wondered.
"Probably lying on the ground roasting," Jr. thought.
"Thankfully, we're not," said Geno.
"I still can't see Hinopio anywhere," said Rosalina.
Just then, a little man popped out of one of the openings in the volcano.
"I thought I heard a commotion so I figured it would be best to check it out," he said.
"Who said that?" Luigi asked a little surprised.
"I did," said the man.
"Are you Hinopio?" Mario asked.
"That's me," said Hinopio.
"We've been looking for you. The king and queen of Nimbus Land told us to find you," said Geno.
"Well, come on in. The shop is open for any and all customers. Of course, business isn't all that well," said Hinopio.
"Well, it certainly can't be because it's in an active volcano!" Jr. sarcastically assumed.
Hinopio's shop was very limited in staff. He had to run every little bit of business in there.
"Now then, how can I, Hinopio, help you today?" Hinopio asked.
"Well, we could use a few supplies," said Mario.
"No problem," said Hinopio.
He got everyone some nice supplies and some more flame retardant renditions of their clothes. They even slept on a pile of boxes.
"Did you sleep well?" Hinopio asked.
"Does it look like it?" Jr. asked a little irked.
"Come back anytime! Don't be strangers!" said Hinopio.
"We'll see," said Luigi.

Meanwhile, back with Daisy, she was busy climbing up the beanstalk the Gardener just planted.
"Wow! Get a load of the loot this place has!" she said. She found some Lazy Shells. One for wearing, and one for tossing.
As for the Koopalings, Ludwig had just helped Toadofsky with his composition.
"Yes. Yes. That's it! That's perfect! Now all I need is an ending!" said Toadofsky.
"I'll do it!" said Ludwig.
He wrote the last part of the song and Toadofsky went over it. It sounded a little something like this.
So La Mi Re Do Re Do Re
Mi Do So Do Re La Ti Do
La Ti Do Re So Do Re Mi
Ti Mi Do So Do Re La Do

"Not bad!" Ludwig and Toadofsky thought.
"Great! You got your song! Can we go now?" Iggy asked.
"Let's move it," said Roy.
"But first, let's hit the Juice Bar!" said Ludwig.
The Koopalings were just groaning to get back to the others.

Back at the volcano, the others had crossed a long bridge that was revealing their final obstacle in the way. The ground shook and out of the magma rose the mighty creature they needed to face in order to get the Star Piece.
"It's here!" said Mario.
"THE KAISER DRAGON!" Luigi cried.
The dragon let out a mighty roar and a mighty breath of fire at them. Everyone ducked down and saw how hot and dangerous that was.
"Whoa! Not even Papa has flames that hot!" said Jr.
"This is definitely not gonna be an easy fight," said Mario.
The Kaiser Dragon then summoned little spark balls that would be set to go off upon contact with the others.
"Don't think you can just count us out!" said Mallow. He unleashed a blizzard and it froze the dragon's entire center over until it was frozen like that of Fahr Outpost.
"That guy wasn't so tough," said Mallow.
The dragon sank into the lava.
"Was that it?" Peach asked.
"No..." said Rosalina.
The Kaiser Dragon came back from the lava. Only this time, his flesh was gone and only his skeleton remained.
"OH MY GOSH! THAT'S JUST SO WRONG!" Luigi thought.
The dragon summoned a mighty array of boulders to roll at the heroes.
"If only Papa were here!" Jr. cried.
"It won't go down like this," said Geno. He then summoned a lot of his power and blasted the dragon with.
"That took a bit out of me," Geno thought.
The dragon rattled its bones and swung its claws at the heroes.
"Star Bit Barrage!" said Rosalina.
She threw a ton of Star Bits to daze the dragon and Mario and Luigi charged at it with their hammers and knocked its bones off of it, and the bones slowly sank into the magma.
"That was the end of that," said Mario.
"Come on! What are we waiting for? The Star Piece is just up ahead!" said Mallow.

They rushed across the huge lava pool and found themselves coming face to face with the sixth Star Piece.
"There it is. Number six," said Mario.
"Let's take it and go already! I wanna see Papa!" said Jr.
Mario was just about to send the sixth one to the Star Road, but just as he was about to grab it, something, or someone came in and snatched it right from under his nose.
"Huh? Hey, where'd the Star Piece go?" Mario asked.
Just then some laughs were heard. Five different colored armored axe wielding warriors showed up.
"We did it! The star is ours!" said the red one.
"Yeah! We're awesome!" said the green one.
"We're #1!" said the yellow one.
"We win!" said the pink one.
"See ya later, suckers!" said the black one.
They all took off.
"They just took our star!" said Peach.
"Uh...yeah. We kinda figured that," said Jr.
"We have to stop them," said Rosalina.
They gave chase and saw them regrouping.
"What's the meaning of this?" Mario asked.
"Take a look at that, Red! That guy has got the most hideous mustache ever!" said the black one.
"Ugh! That's so tacky!" said the pink one.
"Yeah. And I thought Mario looked bad," said the yellow one.
"Dude, that is Mario!" the green one pointed out.
"Forget about Mario! Just get the star back to the ship!" the red one ordered. They all headed off in a flash.
"Oh no you don't!" Mario ordered.

Red was trying to carry the Star Piece himself but it slipped right out of his grasp and it landed right in Black's hands.
"Red, sir, I think you should let us handle this. You're kinda all thumbs today," said Black.
"Okay, fine. Just don't let Mario get it! And that's an order!" Red ordered.
"Yes, sir!" the other warriors agreed.
They hurried on back to their ship while the others went into a comedic chase after them to get the star back. Rosalina tripped over a rock, Bowser Jr. spun on a stalactite only to miss one of the warriors holding the star. Yellow got stuck in a tight gap and the others had to pull him out before they were caught. They soon found their way out on a spring.
"We should have them cornered now!" said Geno.
"Hurry!" Mallow exclaimed.
They sprung up to follow them.

On the very summit of the volcano, the heroes had the warriors cornered.
"Where's the Blade? He should have been here by now," Pink complained.
"Relax. He'll be here soon enough," said Red.
"You sure about that?" Black asked.
"Positive," Red answered.
"Ahem!" said Mario.
"Oh no! Mario and his friends have caught up!" Yellow cried.
"They're too late anyway!" said Red.
"Is the Blade even coming?" Green wondered.
"WILL YOU GIVE IT A REST ALREADY?!" Red ordered.
"It's the end of the line, you five fast freaks!" said Mario.
"Freaks?!" Pink complained.
"That's just mean," said Green.
All of a sudden, the Blade, a giant Smithy warship, came flying into the scene.
"IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!" the warriors all shouted. They hopped onto the ship, but the heroes were not gonna let them get away.
"We're not leaving without the Star!" Mario shouted.
"Then if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get," said Red.
"Who are you guys?" Luigi asked.
"We're glad you asked," said Black.
"We fight for evil!" said Red.
"We live for disorder!" said Black.
"We like what we do!" said Green.
"We struggle for chaos!" said Pink.
"We are..." Yellow start.
"THE AXEM RANGERS!!!" they all shouted at the same time.
Just then, a rosy border appeared in their spot. Bowser Jr. was blushing at the sight of it.
"Wow...uh...okay," said Jr.
"This star gives the people of this world even a single ounce of hope. That's why it must be destroyed," said Red.
"Not a chance! You're going down!" said Luigi.
"Bring it on!" the Axem Rangers demanded.

And so, the struggle for the star began aboard the Blade. They were all fighting off one after another. Geno was taking on the Black one, as both were nimble and quick over a candlestick and doing their best to avoid their attacks. The axe Black wielded nearly took the stuffing out of Geno. But Geno responded with a Geno Beam and blew it right at Black who had his shades shattered.
"Oh no! My shades! They're broken!" Black cried.
"Serves you right!" Red boasted.
Peach and Pink were having a bit of a girl fight. Peach was fighting with a Japanese style fan against Pink's axe. It was an odd match-up, but she seemed to be doing pretty well there. Pink was trying to recover any damage she may have taken. But it didn't seem to help her enough.
"Come on! I have to recover from that last attack! This isn't working!" she panicked. Just then, Peach smacked her with her fan once more and this caused Pink's makeup to smear.
"Oh dear! Red! My makeup got smeared!" said Pink.
"You should change to a different brand," Red suggested.
Mallow and Green were unleashing some powerful magic toward one another.
"METEOR BLAST!" Green shouted as a magical diamond star attack blasted Mallow and made him slightly dizzy. Mallow shook it off and shouted,
"STAR RAIN!"
He brought down his most powerful magic and it caused Green to get a little flat and his head was throbbing a little.
"Oh, my aching head..." he winced.
"You have got to work out more," Red thought.
Bowser Jr. was facing off against Yellow and he fired a little fireball only for Yellow to reflect it off and come at Jr. with a mighty axe swing.
"Hey! Watch where you're swinging that thing! This isn't a cartoon or a video game!" Jr. insisted.
"And who's gonna stop me?" Yellow asked.
"This is!" said Jr.
He pulled out his paintbrush and painted all over Yellow's feet with some goopy piranha plants coming out and striking at Yellow and taking away his axe.
"Oh...I'm too hungry to fight right now..." he complained.
"Why don't you just chew on your tongue?" Red rhetorically suggested.

Red was the only one left. He tried to power himself up to pick up the slack that his team seemed to be suffering from now.
"This can't go down like this!" said Red.
He started swinging and hacking and slashing at everyone in hopes that he can still win this. Rosalina sent a Luma at him and that slammed him on the floor. Now he was angry.
"That's it! I've had enough of this! It's time to bust out our secret weapon! FORMATION HO!" he shouted.
He leaped into the air and onto the main core of the Blade.
"Say hello to our secret weapon!" said Red.
"What does it do?" Mario asked.
"I think you should regret that question," said Luigi.
"I'm glad you asked. Watch and be amazed at the might of the Axem Rangers! FIRE THE BREAKER BEAM!" Red shouted.
This caused the machine to unleash a powerful beam that really laid the hurt on Mario's team. They were too wiped out from that attack to keep up with such power.
"RECHARGING!" the computer announced.
"Okay, just give this baby another chance to warm up a little, and you'll be finished," said Red.
"He's right. There's no way we can take another blast like that!" said Mario.

The core was about ready to fight again and Red was looking forward to finishing them off.
"Yes! It's complete! Now, this time I shall finish you all off! Prepare to have the honor of falling at the might of the Axem Rangers!" he announced.
But just as he was about to activate the Breaker Beam again, some Banzai Bills and Big Steelies came in and blew at the ship. Mario and his friends got out of the way.
"WA-HOO! NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" said Larry.
The Koopalings, Pom Pom, Boom Boom, and Bowser showed up just in time.
"Hey, Mario! You get Jr. and your friends out of the way! This is gonna get nasty!" said Bowser.
"You got it!" said Mario.
"They had backup?!" Red gasped.
"This is not good," said Green.
The heroes got off of the ship just in time while Bowser, his troops, and the Koopalings were laying the beat down on the Axem Rangers. Boom Boom made clones of himself and Pom Pom threw special pink ninja stars with bows on them to subdue them. The Koopalings fired at the core and shut down the Breaker Beam.
"NO! THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE! WE ARE INVINCIBLE! WE ARE THE AXEM RANGERS!" Red panicked.
"Oh, give it a rest, you anime star wannabes," said Bowser.
He then breathed fire at their engine, overheated it, and blew it up. The Axem Rangers were panicking.
"THE ENGINE!" Black cried.
"NO NO NO!" Pink cried.
"THIS IS IT!" Green cried.
"GAME OVER, MAN! GAME OVER!" Yellow panicked.
"MAYDAY! MAYDAY! WE'RE GOING DOWN! WE'RE GOING DOWN! MAYDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!" Red panicked as the Blade was exploding and fell to its demise.

One big explosion later, it was all over for the Axem Rangers.
"What a horrible way to go!" Mallow thought.
"And where's the Star Piece?" Luigi realized.
Just then, the Star Piece came down and Mario grabbed it.
"Looks like it managed to survive," said Mario.
"Thank heavens," Geno sighed relieved.
"What'd ya think of that?" Pom Pom asked.
"That was pretty cool," said Peach.
"Pretty cool? That was REALLY cool! Way to go, Papa!" said Jr.
"Thanks, son. It's the least I could do," said Bowser.
And with that, Mario sent Star Piece #6 up to the Star Road.
"The journey is almost over," said Mario.
"Only one left," said Luigi.
"But where can it be?" Rosalina pondered.
"For now, let's head back to my parents," said Mallow.

And so, they all returned to Nimbus Land. After a revisit to the royal hot springs to rest up from that, they were ready to go. Daisy met up with them again.
"Hey, guys! Did you get the star?" she asked.
"You bet. And it was a real hassle, too," said Jr.
"What have you been up to?" Luigi asked.
"Got us some really neat stuff," said Daisy.
She was holding up a new Frying Pan for her to use and gave Mario his new Lazy Shell.
"A little something I picked up. Really saw some crazy stuff in that garden," said Daisy.
"I'm just happy that whole music stuff's over," said Wendy.
"Me too," said Morton.
"Come on, guys. It wasn't that bad," said Ludwig.
"Hey, you wanna rest up at the inn? I hear they have a new special on Dream Cushions. Lets you live out your dreams while you slumber," Daisy suggested.
"I'm game," said Luigi.

And so, they all rested up easily. Everyone seemed to be having some great dreams. But as for Luigi...well...Daisy was in it, but...
"Luigi...I don't know how to tell you this, but I am actually..." she started.
Then she turned herself into one of the monsters they have met.
"...A MONSTER!" she hissed.
When Luigi woke up, he seemed terrified.
"Good morning, Luigi!" said Daisy.
"AAAAAHHH!!! THE MONSTER!!!" Luigi cried as he ran out of the inn.
"What was up with that?" Daisy wondered.
"Maybe he just had a bad dream," Peach pondered.
"And lived it," said Bowser.

They headed back to the castle to report this to the King and Queen of Nimbus Land.
"Mom! Dad! We're back!" said Mallow.
"Mallow! Good to see you, boy!" said King Nimbus.
"Tell us, dear. Did you get the star?" Queen Nimbus asked.
"Well, the Axem Rangers kinda took it out from under our noses, but we got it back in the end," said Mallow.
"That's wonderful news, son! That means the Star...Whatchamacallit is fixed now, right?" King Nimbus asked.
"Not quite," said Geno.
"Oh...you're still missing one," said King Nimbus.
"But you have traversed everywhere else. All that is left to search is Bowser's Castle," said Queen Nimbus.
"Oh, my home," Bowser grieved.
"But there's no way for us to get in with the bridge gone," said Luigi.
"Trust me, it's impossible," said Mario.
"Yes, Mario. Even you can't jump that far," King Nimbus unfortunately agreed. Then he had an idea. "I think it is time for you to take it."
"It?" Mallow asked.
"That's it, dear! We'll let Mallow and his friends take the Royal Bus!" said Queen Nimbus.
"Royal Bus? You sure it's alright?" Luigi asked.
"If it's the only way into the castle, we'll take it," said Rosalina.
"Good. Now, go and be sure to bring back the peace of making wishes come true!" said King Nimbus.
"Good luck, son! Come back in one piece!" said Queen Nimbus.
"You got it, mom! It will be great!" said Mallow.
"We're off!" said Mario.

The gang waited at the Royal Bus Stop to get going.
"Prince Mallow, I have heard everything from the king and queen," said the depot man.
"We're taking the bus to Bowser's Castle. Any chance it can get us there?" Mallow asked.
"You know it! The bus line has been running along smoothly as of late!" said the depot man.
The Royal Bus came floating right on by.
"Here it comes now!" he told them.
The bus was ready to go.
"Royal Bus ready to roll across the air!" said the driver.
"How's the engine running?" the depot man asked.
"Like clockwork!" said the driver.
"Take our passengers to Bowser's Castle ASAP!" said the depot man.
"Yes, sir! All aboard!" the driver called.
Everyone got right on.
"Oh, Papa! I can't wait to get home again!" said Jr.
"Me neither, son. Me neither," said Bowser.
"And here we go!" said the driver.
"Have a nice ride!" said the depot man.
And thus, the Royal Bus floated off, heading for Bowser's Castle. There, the sword that had connections to Smithy was keeping his eye out.
"They approach...but they will fall..." said the sword. He was preparing for their arrival. And it would not be a very welcome wagon.

Fade out
And so, we come to the end of the third quarter of the arc where the gang heads off to the Volcano and goes after the sixth Star Piece. However, some of the gang is going into sidequests in the mean time, meaning there will be a bit of a b-plot for this episode. The reason being I don't really have much in it for the volcano area. So, some decide to go into the volcano while others go off and take care of business. I.E., the seed and fertilizer and Toadofsky's composition.

NOTE: This is the only episode in the arc to focus with a B-plot that relates to the game.

I guess the Axem Rangers were well acquainted with 90's culture. I never did get to read the overly excited gardener's words in their entirety. And those Dream Cusion visions can be freaky. Anyway, onward to Bowser's Keep.
