In downtown Raleigh, a new place was starting to open up. It caught the attention of some of the people there.
"What do you think is going on over there?" Landon wondered.
"I don't know. It could be a new library, or a pet store," Allie guessed.
"I wanna see," said Sophia.
"Whoa there, little bullet! I don't think they want us anywhere near it until opening day," Landon said grabbing his baby sister.
"It says the grand opening is tomorrow," said Allie.
"Okay then. We just come back tomorrow and see for ourselves," said Landon.
And so, the next day arrived and the place opened up.
JUMBO JIMMY
The place looked like a fast food restaurant.
"It's a fast food restaurant?" Allie asked.
"Cool! A new place to eat and hang out!" Landon thought.
The owner of the place seemed to be excited for his grand opening.
"Ladies and gentlemen of Raleigh, it's time for the newest dining experience, Jumbo Jimmy! I'll be sure to give you all the quality of good eats at fair prices!" the owner claimed.
Everyone was going to enjoy that.

And so, Jumbo Jimmy opened up and everyone was getting hooked on all of this food.
"Can we get the combo meal, mom? Can we?" Landon asked.
"I don't know, Landon. I mean, look at the size of the portions in the picture!" said Lisa.
"Oh, it's probably not as big as it looks," Robert thought.
"Well...I guess one wouldn't hurt," said Lisa.
"Alright!" Landon cheered.
And so, Lisa ordered a combo meal, but it did turn out to be as big as it looked in the picture after all.
"A big mistake," Lisa thought.
They all dug in and they were getting really into the food.
"Oh yeah! This is good!" said Allie.
"Best I had in a long time!" said Lisa.
"We have got to come back here again!" said Robert.
Their friends were also there.
"Love it!" said Darlene.
"Yummy!" said Macy.
"I could eat this all day!" Austin thought.
"Looks like business is really gonna be booming for a while," the owner thought.

For about a week now, all the citizens of Raleigh had been eating nothing but food from Jumbo Jimmy, and it was not very good for them. They started to get bigger and bigger with each time they went there. They hadn't noticed it.
"Say, Allie, don't you look a little bigger?" Heather asked.
"No. Why?" Allie responded.
"I think I can't see the floor anymore," said Karie.
"Where are my feet?" Brandon wondered.
"Aye...I don't feel so good...but this food tastes that way..." said Adrian.
They just kept on eating it. Soon, everyone's diet was nothing but all that greasy culinary comfort food. They had been blowing all their money on all that food.
"Mom, do you feel like maybe we're spending too much time and money here?" Lisa wondered.
"I don't think so..." said Lisa.
"We're gonna have more tomorrow," said Robert.
Somehow, this didn't seem to look well.

Soon enough, all of Raleigh started to get a little, or in this case, a lot on the hefty side. They were getting to be the size of sumo wrestlers. They felt like they were having trouble getting up.
"That's strange. I thought I could get out of my bed easily yesterday," said Robert.
Everyone was having breakfast at the table, when all of a sudden, their chairs broke down and they were forced to sit on the floor.
"They just don't make chairs like they used to," said Lisa.
They were a little oblivious to the fact that they had gained a little too much weight for their bodies to handle.
"Well, we'd better get ready for school," said Landon.
"Yeah. Don't wanna miss the bus," said Allie.
They went up stairs to get ready, but their clothes didn't seem to fit them right.
"Come on, you!" said Landon.
Some of it was torn up from the extra bulk on their bodies.
"Oh, I don't think they'll notice," Landon figured.
Landon and Allie were waiting for the school bus, but as soon as it arrived, they couldn't really fit through the door.
"These doors should get wider," said Allie.

At school, they were supposed to be in a study session reading their textbooks, but the desks were wobbling a bit.
"What's this? An earthquake?" Darlene thought.
The desks all wobbled and they came crashing down.
"I think maybe we should talk to Principal Morning about this," said their teacher.
Principal Morning couldn't do anything about this at all as the school's budget wouldn't be able to fix all of this.
"Sorry if your desks aren't sturdy enough. I can't order them in right now!" he apologized.
"That's just great. Now how are we supposed to study?" Adrian sighed.
At lunch, all of the food was replaced with some of the greasier, fattier, less healthy choices that Jumbo Jimmy served.
"Man, I've been looking forward to a bite all day," said Allie.
The portions they were served were humungous. They couldn't possibly eat all of that in one go.
"I hope they don't mind if I save the rest for later," said Landon.
"I think they could let that slide a couple of times," said Allie.
Even the lunch tables were having their fair share of trouble under all that excess weight.

Meanwhile, at city hall, Mayor Port was busy getting ready for a meeting.
"I'd better get going. I don't wanna be late," she said.
Even she had started eating nothing but Jumbo Jimmy's slop. That caused her to blimp up the most. She walked all the way to the door but got stuck in the frame on the way through. As soon as she wedged herself out, she fell right through the floor.
"I'll have to get the repair guy for that," she thought.
At her meeting, she was starving from having to skip her lunch.
"And as you can see, mayor, the system shows that-" the director was explaining when the mayor stood up and heard a rip. Her pants ripped up.
"Uh-oh..." she groaned.
"Is there a problem?" the director asked.
"I think I need to make a few cosmetic changes for this," Mayor Port stated.

Everyone in Raleigh started to complain about how some of their clothes didn't fit them anymore, and Mayor Port was gonna make a change to that.
"As you all know, some of us in Raleigh have been getting rather...portly as of late," she said.
"Yeah! Mayor Port is now Mayor Portly!" Seth the gamer called out.
"Seth!" Landon lashed.
"Well, it's true," Seth thought.
"Anyway, it has come to my attention that our new state has made it difficult to sustain our current wardrobes. So, for that, we will now be having new clothes tailored and sewn to soothe the more rotund citizens of the city!" the mayor announced.
The cholesterol covered crowd cheered for that.
"And also, there will be newly manufactured furniture to become more sturdy and able to withstand our weight!" the mayor added.
The crowd cheered again.
"And all vehicles will be expanded and new modes of transportation are to be added!" the mayor continued.
This was a big change for the city.

And thus, Raleigh's new lifestyle had changed to make their obese lifestyle more to their fitting. The furniture was now extra strong, they were all wearing new clothes, and cars and other vehicles had more room. And there were also forklifts to lift up some of the heftiest citizens that were residing there.
"I gotta say, this is the best idea the mayor has had in ages," said Robert.
"Yeah. Now I have some leg room on my side," said Allie.
"And these new robes aren't too bad, either," Landon thought admiring his new ensemble.
"Yeah. It's all thanks to Wide Load Clothing, making the weather and their prices very fair!" said Lisa.
"I don't know how this couldn't have been done sooner," said Robert.
"I'm a really big girl now," said Sophia.

All of the furniture that was structured for their extra weight never gave out to them at all. They were able to sit down with their huge rotund bodies now having comfortable seating and no crashes or thuds.
"Ah, now this is comfortable," said Landon.
"Much better on my butt," said Allie.
Natalie had been riding around on a forklift since she didn't fit in her wheelchair anymore.
"These new ride isn't as fun as my old one, but at least it gets me around," she said.
"That reminds me, we have a big Firebird Scout meeting after school today," said Allie.
"Oh, I almost forgot!" said Natalie.
"We'd better get ready," said Macy.

The girls at the Firebird Scout Lodge were getting ready for their next badge.
"Okay, girls, today, we are all going to aim for a very special badge given our new conditions," said Miss Henderson.
"I wonder what it'll be," Karie wondered.
"Only one way to find out," said Heather.
"Ta-da! It's the Sumo Badge!" said Miss Henderson.
"Oh, this will be a cinch!" said Darlene.
"All you gotta do to earn this is pin down your opponent or knock them out of the ring," said Miss Henderson.
"This is a very famous sport back in my homeland," said Melanie.
"Are you all right?" Miss Henderson asked.
"Yes!" the girls agreed.
"Then, let's begin!" said Miss Henderson.
The girls all got ready and started pushing each other around, but somehow, they didn't have too much strength in them.
"Man, this is harder than I thought," said Allie.
"I think I ate too much before this," Macy thought.
"I can't push very well..." said Heather.
"That's strange. I thought this would be an easy badge for them," Miss Henderson thought.
Kimberly was the only one still standing in the ring, so she was the only one to earn that badge.
"Finally, a badge that represents me for who I am," she said proudly.

Everyone was acting like that all over Raleigh as a matter of fact. Soon enough, their heftier upper bodies were unable to be held up for very long and they couldn't handle the simplest of tasks while having all that weight.
"I don't know about you guys, but I don't think I can keep moving around like this," said Landon.
"I'll say..." said Brandon. He dropped a wrench while building something and then fell over.
"Even leaning over has its problems," Landon pointed out.
"Nobody can bend down and pick something up anymore," said Adrian.
"I'm starting to miss the old me," said Landon.
"Me too," said Brandon.
"Me tambien," Adrian agreed.

Lisa was doing laundry and looked at the size of the laundry.
"Do these pants make my butt look big?" she wondered.
"Why wouldn't they? Everything makes everyone's butts look big," Allie responded.
Robert came home and was wedged in the door.
"Oh, darn it! Not again!" he complained.
He then tried to get in through the window, but even that was just slightly too narrow.
"I can't even get into my own house anymore!" he complained.
"This is getting a little out of hand," said Lisa.
Everyone was convinced that the fast food restaurant that they had constantly gone to as of late was to blame for this.
"I think we may have to have an intervention about this at the next town meeting," said Lisa.

And so, the next meeting came along and the mayor had heard of some complaints.
"Folks, I have heard that some of you have been complaining about the new lifestyle that we have been enduring for the past few weeks now," she told them.
"You bet! Everyone's too fat!" said Robert.
"I can't go running anymore!" said Stephanie.
"I keep getting stuck in my doorway!" said Marcia.
"Every time I bend over, my pants fall down and so do I!" Brandon added.
"We need to fix this!" said Lisa.
"Si!" Felicia agreed.
Everyone was weighed in and it showed that Raleigh was the heaviest city in all of America.
"My word! This is unbelievable! Over 100,000 pounds! This must be fixed ASAP!" the mayor declared.
"Finally..." Allie answered relieved.

So, the mayor was passing a new law that would open up a new fitness and diet system that everyone would go on in order to get back to their old shapes and weights.
"As of now, Raleigh is on a strict diet and regimen until further notice!" she declared.
At school, the kids were all given their fitness instructors.
"Okay, kids, for about a month or so, I will be your dietary expert and I want you to get out there and drop all of the calories that you have obtained over time!" their instructor told them.
"Let's do it!" said Landon.
At first, they were sluggishly moving for comedic effect. As for the adults, their coach was a little more strict.
"COME ON, YOU TUBS OF LARD! I HAVE SEEN SLOTHS MOVE MORE ATHLETICALLY THAN YOU! MOVE IT, BUTTER BALL! I WANNA SEE SOME SWEAT! PERSPIRE AND INSPIRE!" he shouted.
"Can I take a break?" Lisa asked.
"NO BREAKS!" the coach shouted.
"He's strict, but he gets the job done," Robert thought.

After plenty of time had passed, the citizens of Raleigh were really starting to get better and slim back down to their original weights. It was working like a charm.
"It's working!" said the kids' coach.
"Of course it is! What did you expect?" the adults' coach thought.
Overtime, they finally did it. They dropped all the fat that Jumbo Jimmy gave them and were back to the way they were.
"We did it! We're back to our old weights!" said Allie.
Kimberly was looking like her old pudgy self before the Jumbo Jimmy craze, so she still seemed to be the fattest of the bunch.
"Oh, it's good to be back to our old selves," said Lisa.
"You said it," said Robert.
"It is muy bien to feel slim again!" said Adrian.
"I couldn't agree more," said Natalie. She was back in her old wheelchair and moving around freely once again.
"Oh, that is so much better than what I looked like before," said Rachel.
"Let's all celebrate!" said Robert.

Everyone was heading over to Jumbo Jimmy, but not for a little celebratory dinner. The owner came out and greeted them,
"Welcome to Jumbo Jimmy! What'll you have today?"
"We want our money back!" said Robert.
"Your money?" the owner asked.
"Yeah. Your food was so addictive, we couldn't help but eat nothing but it for weeks and then we bloated up to the size of houses!" said Lisa.
"It was a horrible experience!" said Principal Morning.
"We demand that you give us a refund as of this moment!" the mayor ordered.
"My apologies for your previous conditions, folks. I'll see to it that you get a full refund right away," said the owner.
And so, everyone had gotten their money back from Jumbo Jimmy and swore never to eat there again.
"That is the last time we eat at that dump," said Landon.
"No doubt about it," said Brandon.
"I don't like their icky food anymore," said Sophia.
And with that, Jumbo Jimmy was out of business and forced to relocate elsewhere.
"Maybe I'll find better business in another town," the owner thought as he packed up and left Raleigh.

A few weeks later, a new salad bar had opened up and the whole family decided to eat there.
"This food may not be as tasty as Jumbo Jimmy's was, but at least it's healthy and nourishing," said Allie.
"Definitely," said Landon.
"This is some very good salad!" said Lisa.
"Let's get some more!" said Robert.
And of course, history repeats itself from time to time and everyone in Raleigh started slimming down a little more than they needed to after getting back to normal. They were as skinny as rails now.
"You know, I think we lost a little more weight than we needed to," said Robert.
His pants dropped down revealing his underwear.
"Perhaps you're right about that, dear," Lisa agreed.
Sophia was blowing away in the wind.
"Wheeeee! I'm a kite!" she cheered.
Now Raleigh was the skinniest city in all of America.
"Man, I could go for a burger right about now," said Landon.
"That sounds good," Allie agreed.
Surely, a few treats from time to time wouldn't be too bad. They just needed to get back to their old weight, this time via the opposite. For Raleigh had really thrown its weight around.

For the next commission, we have a reserved spot for :icontherandomclassic:. He reserved this spot a while ago.

Anyway, he wanted a story where a new fast food restaurant hits Raleigh and everyone starts eating there and becomes incredibly obese and gets used to their lifestyle only for many things to suddenly go wrong, so they must slim back down.

Just to say this, I might not do a story like this for Tanner's series again anytime soon. Just wanted to say that.

Thank you for this. And this probably will be the last time this happens for a while, if it ever happens again.
